I’m Lilah Spence and I am an illustrator for surface design. I was born and raised in Austin, TX, and graduated with a BFA in illustration from SCAD in 2025. Having been raised in Texas, much of my work is inspired by the southwest and the cowboy culture surrounding it. Similarly, I have spent much of my life in the great outdoors, camping, and hiking, which has given me a great appreciation for sustainability. My work aims to bring the beauty in nature to the attention of the public. As a surface designer, I aim for my work to be simultaneously both elegant and playful. I plan to use my knowledge of ceramics to apply my surface design skills to either tiling or ceramic home goods.
